I began as a photographer out of necessity.  As my visual art skills developed, I was compelled to work from my own photos in order that I maintain the integrity of "originality" in my work.  As I became more comfortable with the camera, I experimented with light, depth of field, contrast and texture.  I am intrigued with the elements and principles of art that nature has to offer.  Playing with movement and light, creating abstract compositions has been both a challenge and delight for my soul.
